Enterprise architect for major Canadian clothing retail company.  Worked closely with all development staff to establish the use of agile development, modeling and configuration management best practices.  Included role as data architect to strategically link and implement all front office and back office development projects utilizing a shared database architecture and integration strategy.  Primary development language for this project is Java.  Tools: Websphere, Eclipse, iSeries DB2, DB2 UDB, ERwin, SQL.

Designed, developed and implemented technical architecture for processing of HIPAA standard EDI transaction sets for a major California based health care insurance organization.  Included processing of data sets from Gentran (OS/390) on iSeries (AS/400) to update production applications as well as design/development of proprietary middleware.

Project manager/technical architect for migration of large scale health care insurance application from Oracle to DB2/400.  This included database schema, stored procedures and architecture changes.  Introduced changes in methodology, configuration management and platform management practices for both development and operations disciplines.  Mentoring of internal IS staff at client site. Application interfaces to Legacy RPG applications and Lawson financial applications.  Primary tools were VisualAge for Java, C, SQL, Crystal Reports with Erwin and SELECT Enterprise design tools.

Design and development of virtual call centre application for a start up company.  This telephony based application was built using object oriented development tools (Centura).  The scalable architecture supported multiple relational database back ends including Oracle, DB2, SQL server, SQLBase and Access.

Development of Year 2000 impact analysis, assessment and remediation tools.  This included tools to analyze and reverse engineer Synon/2E models, including preparation of automated task lists and work breakdown structures generated in Microsoft Project.

Enterprise database redesign initiative for a leading U.S. based healthcare organization.  This project involved requirements gathering, re-engineering of current applications and databases, data modeling, process modeling and project management.

Designed a real-time, transaction based communications system for U.S. based healthcare provider utilizing a network of over 100 AS/400 computer systems.

Design/development of insurance application to process application forms using SQLWindows development environment.  System used a Synon generated database on an AS/400.

Design/Development of a client-server engineering drawing management and release system using SQLWindows.  The application connects to multiple databases on different platforms as required to facilitate specific business processes, including interfaces to MAPICS.

Certified to train in the use of all Silverrun CASE tool modules as well as data and process modeling.  Conducted training sessions for a variety of public and private sector clients including government agencies, multinational consulting firms, large manufacturing and distribution companies and an Ivy League west coast University.

Project manager/lead architect for modeling, design and development of a comprehensive fleet maintenance template/package targeted toward public transit and fleet organizations.  The design included maintenance scheduling, inventory management, parts tracking, traceability, utilization tracking and full work order support for materials and labor.
